WEB DEVELOPER (HOME-BASED)
Remuneration:
Web Developer RP 400,000 – 10,000,000 / month (NEGOTIABLE)
A preview of your job scope :
- You will be working together with our web designers (as such there will be not be much creative / designing work involved), and will be involved primarily in the development of websites.
- You must be able to work independently to develop websites from ground up. This means, you must be able to stitch together a functional website, with say a CMS, database, Ecommerce modules , together with other functions like galleries or forums. You should be able to integrate these modules together.
- You should have experience working with CMS (wordpress, joomla, drupal, or others). You must be able to implement/ install a CMS to existing or new websites.
- You should be very familiar with databases. You will be required to independently setup database driven websites for clients.
- You should have experience with payment solutions and shopping carts. You will be required to independently integrate / install payment solutions into existing websites (e.g. shopping carts)
- You should be very proficient in PHP. You may be required to edit and customise 3rd party off-the-shelf or open-source scripts for our own use.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field with at least 2 years working experience in web development.
- Strong fundamentals in Web Programming for Dynamic Websites, PHP, JSP, Javascript, mySQL, Ajax.
- Experience in web applications, social networks, and portals is a plus.
- Good to know – Web2.0 technologies such as Facebook Connect, API development, Mash-ups, Google Maps, Saas solutions
- Efficient with the capability to handle multiple projects and meet aggressive deadlines;
- Strong portfolio – please list down in your resume the URLs of websites that you have worked on before, and the role you played.
- Good English communication skills – we will communicate mainly through skype & msn.
- Possess stable broadband connection at home, owns a computer and has STABLE internet and power supply.

- LAMP(Linux Apache MySql PHP) Server Administration. DNS, Firewall
- API Platform setup for web application (Google Application Engine, Youtube, Facebook, Web Services)
- Setup Open Source Web Application requirements (J2EE, PERL, PHP Extensions, Python)
- Familiar with Amazon Cloud EC2, S3
